Counter Nature is proud to present our Midseason Awards for ESEA Advanced's 34th season. There are nine different awards, ranging from MVP all the way to Best Coach. Check it out and let's see who stays on here for our awards at the end of the season!

Table of Contents:

🏆 Most Valuable Player: cxzi from Supernova

🏆 Most Surprising Player: JoJo from Third Impact

🏆 Most Improved Player: Sharkie from Thunder Logic

🏆 Punisher: kobruh from Kinship

🏆 Headhunter: rough from Kinship Black

🏆 Best Clutcher (Tie): xzen from 303 Esports & vipe from wtbsex

🏆 Best Rookie: koalanoob from Ekasi Esports

🏆 Comeback Player: Turismo from Savage

🏆 Best Coach: KayJay from RBG Esports

🏆 Most Valuable Player: cxzi from Supernova

cxzi has had a huge impact for his team this season. He puts up impressive numbers with 94.35 ADR, 0.9 FPR, 116 AWP frags, seven 4Ks, and three games with over 30 frags. When I watch him play this season, he makes the game looks so easy. His confidence is at an all-time high right now.

🏆 Most Surprising Player: JoJo from Third Impact

JoJo leads Advanced with the most AWP frags (154). AGM was Third Impact’s AWPer for the past two seasons, but since he left to play Valorant, JoJo picked up the AWP. Who would ever have guessed that he would end up leading Advanced in most AWP kills at this point of the season?

🏆 Most Improved Player: Sharkie from Thunder Logic

Many people questioned the pick up of Sharkie in Season 33 of MDL when Thunder Logic were looking for a replacement for JazzPimp. He did not play well in his first season of MDL, finishing with a 69.99 ADR (nice). On top of that, when I watched him play, he made very questionable decisions and many mistakes. I think he needed more experience to grow in Advanced before the move up to MDL. Fast forward to this season, Thunder Logic (9-2) are off to a hot start. Part of that is due to the play of Sharkie. He’s finding his own footing and taking what he learned from last season and improving off of that. He is sitting at 84.49 ADR for the season and had a monstrous performance vs Big Chillin with 27 frags and a 104.55 ADR.

🏆 Punisher: kobruh from Kinship

The Punisher award goes to the player with the highest ADR, with a minimum of 100 frags. kobruh has 108.5 ADR and a 1.06 FPR. He is having a monsterous first half of the season. Granted, Kinship has not played that strong of opponents. Let’s see if he can keep it up the last remainder of the season versus stronger opponents.

🏆 Headhunter: rough from Kinship Black

The Headhunter award goes to the player with the highest headshot percentage, with a minimum of 100 frags. rough claims this award with a HSP of .306.

🏆 Best Clutcher (Tie): xzen from 303 Esports & vipe from wtbsex

The Best Clutcher award was a tie for this part of the season. xzen from 303 Esports and vipe from wtbsex both had 19 clutch moments, thus far.

🏆 Best Rookie: koalanoob from Ekasi Esports

Not many people know of koalanoob. He is a 17-year-old from Canada. Prior to this season, the highest experience he had was from Intermediate Playoffs in Season 31. He has 91.23 ADR. This is amazing for his first season of Advanced and not having played at this high of a level. He has a bright future if he can keep it up.

🏆 Comeback Player: Turismo from Savage

Turismo skipped the past two seasons of ESEA, and the past five if you count the last time with Intact in Advanced in Season 29. This was the same team that won Advanced and beat FURIA 2-1 in the finals. He is back with a vengeance with no rust at all. Turismo is putting up big numbers for his team with 92.21 ADR.

🏆 Best Coach: KayJay from RBG Esports

KayJay has helped his team off to an 8-1 start to the season. RBG Esports are one of the top teams in Advanced--if not THE best. KayJay’s experience with Team Liquid and TSM definitely plays a huge part. When his team is down or not stringing rounds together, he calls crucial timeouts that can turn the game around.
